This limited edition of 650S supercar received performance upgrades from McLaren’s Special Operations division and only 50 vehicles will be sold

This week would be pretty exciting as among so many other super-exotic fast cars, McLaren 650S is going to make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This bespoke model is based on the 650S MSO coupe concept, an amazing supercar we saw earlier this year, and received extensive performance upgrades from McLaren’s Special Operations division. It has been decided that only 50 of these cars are to be made in coupe and spider body forms.

It has gone under some vivacious exterior makeover like extended side blades, the rear bump is now a three piece carbon-fibre dibbled, and the rear diffuser now has more aggressive looks. This new model has specially designed ten-spoke alloy wheels that are lightweight and according to McLaren, saves as much as four kilos of weight than the standard units.

The interior of MSO special now features Alcantara trim with carbon-fibre detailing and carbon black leather, and the dash is also one of kind.

Sadly, the engine is one part that didn’t get the upgrade at all, which means the 3.8-litre twin turbocharged V8 engine will power this marvellous car. As standard, all cars use seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine is so powerful that it takes only 3.0 seconds for this MSO to reach 60mph. This 650S supercar made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The starting prices for coupe and spider models are £252,500 and £272,500. The deliveries will most probably get under way before the end of the year.
