Audi Q5

If you are searching for a car with extremely efficient engine and premium designing, then let me help you. Without wasting a second, go for Audi Q5 and enjoy the cool ride with its fuel efficient and sturdy engine.

Audi Q5’s Brief History:

Audi Q5 is a series of compact opulent crossover SUVs produced by luxurious German cars and engines manufacturing company which makes stylish and sturdy cars for its customers since the last century. The Q5 is now in its second generation and its first generation was from 2008-2016.

This car is just superb in terms of performance, handling, interior and exterior, boot space and let me breath, its engine is really very strong and sturdy which offers you a smooth and exciting drive.

Interior and exterior of Audi Q5:

The Audi Q5 – a smart, decent, nicely built, but somewhat unspectacular SUV – is Audi’s ever best-selling car globally days. Around 1.6 million Q5s have found their homes since the car’s 2008 launch, a duration coinciding with Audi’s vast growth. And now there is a recent one.

So famous has the Q5 been that Audi has constructed a new factory in Mexico just to build it, probably 150,000 a year at first. It’s a car with new exterior look, elegant plusher interior, lighter body, and efficient engines. In the case of Q5, that weight saving mainly comes from the adoption of the new mixed-material MLB Evo platform, observed in other guises on the A4, A5 and Q7.

It is said to be up to 90kg lighter than the present model despite a little increase in footprint, and that weight saving teams up along with a more aerodynamic body for even greater efficiency.

What about engine of the Audi Q5?

You can easily conclude that Q5’s engine line up leaves plenty of room for expansion. The initial strong engine line-up includes an energetic 2.0-litre diesel along with 190hp, a 2.0-litre petrol with 252hp, and the range-topping 3.0-litre V6 diesel with 286hp that will observe very soon after launch.

Automatic (non-manual) gearbox and Quattro four-wheel drive are likely to be standard mainly for the UK (and India). Test takers drove both the higher-powered V6 diesel and the four-cylinder petrol model.

Each of one has the optional air suspension and adaptive dampers smartly fitted to them. The former holds an eight-speed torque converter auto and permanent Quattro all-wheel drive, and the latter one, a seven-speed dual clutch auto and the Quattro Ultra technology, which can take back on power being sent to the back wheels when conditions mean it is not needed, to save fuel.

The Super Duper V6 Engine

It is the V6 diesel that intrigues the most, and my word it is smooth and refined, which is may be a good description of the car as a whole. There is a wide spread of torque obtainable with even the occasional sledgehammer delivery of it such is the vigor.

You certainly would not be wanting for any extra performance, and the Q5’s eight-speed auto which it is mated to is complimentary and not prominent. But you wouldn’t ever say the car overtly sporty, which has as much to deal with its chassis tuning as anything else.

The Q5 is a really very competent and predictable car, which is fine by its purchasers, but you can mention there’s probably a quite involving car in there only waiting to get out given the opportunity.

What about the size of the monster Q5?

The Q5 is 4.66 meters longer and 1.89 meters wider and it’s pretty similar to BMW X3s and Mercedes GLCs dimensions but its roofline is little bit lower than BMW, falling at 1.66 meters. Perhaps, the second generation of Audi Q5 has gained few millimeters in wheelbase, so it’s now 2.82 meters.

What does influence is the ride quality, perfectly matching the smooth, calm and comfortable characteristics of the engine. Even the very much broken of road surfaces simply failed to trouble or unsettle the car. There is a discernible difference between the driving modes too, seven of which are just on offer through the Audi Drive Select system.

Audi Q5 Driving Modes

The Audi Q5 standard Comfort mode does what you’d hope, but choosing Sport mode lowers and stiffens the air springs and interacts what the car is doing a little bit more, and corners a touch flatter. It’s yet not involving, mind; not aided by the lack of feel from the steering.

The air suspension has almost 60mm of height adjustment in it, the possible height being the reserve of the off-road mode. Audi declares as much off-road ability as you’d ever need, and it rather even matched a Range Rover on the Audi’s ‘real world’ off-road course so they say.

The 2.0-litre petrol also needs to be worked at first, a bit harder than the V6 in order to get it going, but once the revs are up, it moves the Q5 along at a brisk pace, too. It is a nice flexible sturdy engine, with a good spread of torque and improved sound that the larger diesel. It gives the car feel a touch more sprightly and agile, too.

Comfort and boot space in Audi Q5:

If you’re thinking that the Q5 can bear with four adults and their luggage then let me clear you that the boot is roomier enough to cope with three big suitcases and a couple of overnight bags. The driver’s seat looks decent as well.

Our verdict:

If you ask me, I would say that Audi Q5 is a monster and is excellent choice with excellent cruising refinement, well-built interior, secure handling and comfortable ride. Don’t waste your time and buy a brand new Q5 right away.
