Bond, James Bond<\/strong><\/a> as a new ride. At a special event at Pinewood Studios in London, Bond director Sam Mendes announced that the new Bond film will be called Spectre and that in it, 007 will be driving the new Aston Martin DB10<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Spectre stands for SP<\/b>ecial E<\/b>xecutive for C<\/b>ounter-intelligence, T<\/b>errorism, R<\/b>evenge and E<\/b>xtortion. The official line from Aston Martin is that Bond\u2019s new car, the Aston Martin DB10, showcases the next design direction for the British marque\u2019s future models. Sources say it is, in fact a loose preview of the next-generation V8 Vantage engine<\/strong><\/a> due in 2017.<\/p>\n The DB10’s design project was led by Aston Martin chief creative officer, Marek Reichman, and the 007 film\u2019s director, Sam Mendes, even had a hand in creating the ultimate car for the world\u2019s most famous spy. Dr Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin, said: \u201cIn the same year that we celebrate our 50-year relationship with 007, it seems doubly fitting that today we unveiled this wonderful new sports car<\/strong><\/a> created especially for James Bond. \u201cTo be partnering once again with EON Productions is great news for this company and for everyone around the world that loves to see Bond at the wheel of an Aston Martin. Production will be strictly limited to 10 of the bespoke sports cars.<\/p>\n “The most exclusive DB ever”, is how Palmer described it. “It’s 10 cars total run – let’s hope James Bond doesn’t wreck them all!” he added. The film is scheduled to be released in October of next year.
